	Ian Tate is an American guitarist from California best known as the lead guitarist of [[Velocity]]. As son of the world famous guitarist William Tate, Ian had no need to seek out bands, Radical Nights had offered him a spot at the young age of seventeen. When Radical Nights met a tragic end, Ian was recruited to play for Stricken. ~~His~~ current role in Velocity came after he moved his family to Florida, leaving his ~~older~~ son, Jacob behind. He initially joined the band to soothe his itch to play again. Now living in Florida with his younger sons, Peter and William, Ian splits his time between band and family the best he can.
