Description
Character
When we first meet Adrian "Bolt" Hall, he is an angry young man with a passion for music. He is driven by his dream to take his band, Lightning, to the top.
Adrian's childhood was anything but idyllic. His mother left the home when he was ten. His father quickly found a replacement and this woman made Adrian's life miserable. Robyn was abusive and also a drug addict. After Adrian's father, Allen Hall, died of cancer, his stepmother's treatment of him worsened. She threw Adrian out and he had to move in with his father's brother. This is how he came to arrive at Riverview High school, a fictional school located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is where he meets Kat, Dagger, Buzzy, and Ringo. The quartet has already been jamming together and when Adrian joins them, the band is finally complete.
Adrian is usually not a likeable character. His bitterness is something he holds onto. He fights against loving anyone, and with women he has no use for them, other than sex. When he meets his match in Melody, he's terrified, of his feelings...and of being hurt again. This causes them to butt heads over and over again, and even drives them apart at times. But over the course of three books, the reader will see him change a lot. He will mature into a who is loyal to his friends, who is a wonderful father, and a hopeless romantic dedicated to making his wife happy in bed and out.
Physical Appearance
Adrian has spiked, platinum blond hair, deep blue eyes, thick lips. He's known for his sneer and also his great smile. He has a slim build but is cut well. He's five feet ten although taller with his combat boots on. He dresses in the punk style of ripped jeans and t-shirts, and then moves into a rocker look. He doesn't like needles so no tattoos for him.

Adrian met Melody Stewart during their senior year of high school, and although they went through two painful separations, they never stopped loving one another. They were married on September 18, 1987. They renewed their vows in December of 1998.
