HUNTER I had a plan. Live it up, make music, have a sell-out tour. But my girlfriend had other ideas. Kara wanted a baby. After losing our first child, going down that path again terrified me. The fear of loss had been embedded into my soul. Having to use a surrogate raised new concerns, the level of difficulty too great, the risk of failure too high. Doubts about our future hovered through my head, niggled at the back of my throat. What was that? I never get sick. Was it pressure? From her? My band? The fans? Myself, to make another number-one album? Music is my life. But what about Kara? A family? Is that what I want too? What tune would fate play for me? Am I ready to change the course of my life? Can I be all Kara needs? Or will I burn out in the process?
